Will you find it fulfilling? Make a list of all the things you want out of a new career and rank them by priority. How many of the top ones does it satisfy: Will you have the opportunity to learn new skills, advance through the ranks, or make a difference in people’s lives?  

Is the product or service in demand? Do people need what you plan to offer - and will they continue to need it for the foreseeable future? If you’re hoping for a long and prosperous career, the last thing you want to do is enter a saturated or expiring market. 

Is the company financially sound? The recession of ’07 – ‘09 took a toll on a number of companies, and some still have yet to recover. That’s why it’s so important to make sure that your future employer is well-capitalized and in a position to survive the next financial crisis as well.  

Whether you’re just starting out, or starting over, you may want to consider becoming a Life Insurance Agent. A career in life insurance offers many benefits, including the opportunity to make a significant income, a chance to build your own business, and the ability to have a positive impact on your community.
