Looking for the perfect breakfast to compliment your coffee? These biscottis will do the trick! Perfectly crisp and delicious, they are delightfully simple to make. Enjoy them fresh or frozen!


3 eggs

1 cup sugar

1 3/4 cup flour

1/2 cup cocoa

2 tsp baking powder

2 tsp vanilla sugar

1/2 cup chocolate chunks

1/2 cup walnuts


1.In an electric mixer, beat eggs, sugar,
and vanilla sugar for three minutes.

2.In a separate bowl, mix flour, cocoa,
and baking powder.

3.Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture and beat for two minutes. Add chocolate chunks and walnuts and mix for one
more minute.

4.Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Spray parchment with Pam spray.

5.Pour batter onto tray and pat down with wet hands so that the whole batter covers the tray.

6.Sprinkle the top of the batter with sugar.

7.Bake for 15 minutes and remove tray
from the oven.

8.Let cool for five minutes.

9.Slice into long thin bars and turn the biscotti
on their sides. Toast for another ten minutes.

1.For variation, add 1/3 cup of peanut butter while mixing in wet and dry ingredients.

2.Drizzle biscotti with chocolate for a more decorated look.

3.Biscotti can be left out in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
