Three-Ingredient Minute Steak with Pesto

It's been said that some of the best cooked meats are seasoned with just salt and pepper. At
first, I was skeptical. What about fresh garlic? Not even any onions? After testing the theory out
on minute steak, I was sold. Apparently, so were my husband and kids, who’ve been asking me
to make it non-stop ever since - and I’ve been happy to oblige. With less than five minutes
prep-time, you won't find me complaining! I’ve paired the minute steak with a flavor-rich pesto,
which perfectly complements this simple, yet out-of-this-world minute steak.

Minute Steak:
2 lb. Minute Steak Split
1.5 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper


1.      Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2.      In a rectangular tin or glass baking dish, place minute steak. Season with half the salt and black pepper. Turn over and season the other side with the remaining half.

3.      Seal well with foil and bake for 30-45 minutes, depending on your doneness

3 cups fresh, cleaned basil
½ cup fresh, cleaned parsley (optional)
½ cup olive oil
5 cloves fresh garlic
1 tbsp. salt
¼ cup pine nuts


In the bowl of a food processor or blender, combine all ingredients. Blend to a smooth paste.
