Baking sheet
Medium bowl
Small bowl
Pizza cutter
Pastry brush
Knife

Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients:
2 eggs
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 pinch garlic powder
1 pinch onion powder
1 pinch salt
1 pinch black pepper
17.5- ounce package frozen puff pastry
2 teaspoons water
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Let’s Get Started!
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Grease baking sheet.
- Beat one egg in a medium bowl and mix in cheese. Season with parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- On lightly floured surface, cut each sheet of puff pastry into six equal shares for 12 squares in total.
- Beat remaining egg with water in a small bowl, brush edges of each square lightly with egg wash.
- Place a heaping tablespoon of the cheese mixture in the center of each square.
- Fold pastry over the filling and seal edges with a fork.
- Transfer to the prepared baking sheet, and brush with remaining egg wash. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Best when served
Makes 12 Bourekas!

While bourekas are best fresh out of the oven, you can store them in plastic bag or sealed container on the counter for 1-2 days. If you plan to keep them any longer, keep them in the fridge for up to a week.
